Dr. Debra Klinger-Rosenfeld is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in court-related services.  Her clinical expertise involves the evaluation and related treatment planning for transitioning families: those separating, divorcing or never married who are experiencing difficulty getting along, communicating, and/or co-parenting.  Dr. Klinger-Rosenfeld performs court ordered child custody evaluations, functioning as the Court's expert in this area of clinical practice. 


Dr. Klinger-Rosenfeld has advanced clinical training in complicated issues such as resist/refuse dynamics, intimate partner violence, parenting children with special needs, relocation, etc.  Dr. Klinger-Rosenfeld performs court ordered evaluations as a means of educating family members as well as professionals within the legal system on best psychological interests of the child/children.

To the Courts

The best interest of the child is a complex concept and Dr. Klinger-Rosenfeld specializes in conducting

parenting plans and child custody evaluations consistent with state-of-the-art guidelines and best practice models.

The result is a report to the Court that provides a cohesive analysis and persuasive strategy for movement forward.

To Attorneys

Dr. Klinger-Rosenfeld works with attorneys providing second opinions and/or work product reviews. She can assist legal strategy by reviewing child custody evaluations done by other mental health professionals. Dr. Klinger-Rosenfeld is available for trial preparation, assistance with cross-examination approach and the analysis of how best to utilize court ordered forensic evaluations.
